My name is Ms Pooley, and I am proud to be the House Leader for Rokell. Together with my excellent team of experienced tutors and co-tutors, it is our ambition to provide support, care, encouragement and advice for all students within the house and Rokell family.
One of our key aims within Rokell is to promote community, partnership and participation in school. One of the ways we do this is by providing Rokell students with daily enjoyable and competitive House events and activities. From weekly quizzes and inter-tutor challenges, you will find us play-dog sculpting, bake off competing, and even basketball hoop shooting! The challenge to get to the top of the inter-tutor leader board is a very competitive aspect within Rokell! However, the competition doesn’t stop there! We have worked incredibly hard over the past few years to improve our inter-house standings. Showing fantastic teamwork, attitude and dedication; we have fought off challenges from the others house in inter-house competitions and Sports Day over the past few years, and aim to successfully build on our achievements in the years to come.
On a day-to-day basis, all our tutors within Rokell work together to provide the best experience possible for all our students. During tutor time we have worked had to develop and improve the opportunities for students; including year group discussions, the teaching of SMSC values and literacy, as well as current affairs discussions, games, quizzes and interesting video clips. It is in all aspects of this House system that participation, effort and achievement is rewarded, with postcards home, prizes and rewards, as we seek to build our own identity and develop a collaborative House and whole school ethos.
As well as bringing whole tutor groups and the House together, we also aim to support every individual student. Giving them the opportunity to voice their opinions through the School Council and by becoming a Tutor Representative for their tutor group. Each year we also elect a group of House Captains and Sports Captains who work hard to improve the house identity and students day-to-day experience within school.
Our final aim within Rokell is to support students with both their curricular and pastoral provision at school to provide opportunities for students to develop the skills, experiences and attributes required to become well rounded and confident individuals.
We are always striving for excellence within Rokell House and looking for ways to improve. If you have any questions, suggestions or are in need to speak to me regarding your child, please don’t hesitate to contact me at: email@example.com
