William Edwards recognises that our Year 11 pupils have had the most difficult of times over the last few months with regard to their futures and the impact of having sat no exams.
They have really missed out on some of the life experiences we have all taken for granted and the events of the last week or so around grades has added more uncertainty and stress. Despite all of that, results day was the best day at the school since March as we welcomed back our Year 11’s to receive the results of their hard work over a number of years.
We are delighted that our students did so well and have realised that they have achieved the grades they need to move on to the next stage of their lives and education.
“Our pupils should feel rightly proud of their achievements”, said Headteacher, Simon Bell. “Given the circumstances of the last 5 months we are delighted that the hard-work of our students over their 5 years with us has paid off. We strongly feel that we should celebrate the achievements of all our students at this time so have decided not to name individual successes like we usually do. These results are just as valued and deserved as every other year and we are extremely proud of all our Year 11s for everything they have achieved.”
