Yr9 Options Process 2022

Year 9 Options Process – Online

After a successful trial of using an online process last year for the options process, we will be conducting it again in the same way this year.

The Key Stage Four curriculum of William Edwards School is designed to ensure:

  • Pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that will preserve an open choice for their future.
  • Pupils’ chances of achieving the best results are maximised.
  • Pupils experience a wide range of learning experiences designed to develop them academically, socially, morally, spiritually, and physically.

Below is the information needed to follow the process as notified in our letter home on the 21st January.

  • Option Subject Information Booklet.
  • Options Form.
  • Video presentations outlining our curriculum offer and how to complete the options process.
  • Subject video presentations outlining the main features of each GCSE, BTEC or Cambridge National course.
  • Booking details regarding a Y9 Options Consultation appointment, should you require personalised assistance with making choices, can be found here.

We delivered a Y9 Focus Day on 1st March which consisted of careers guidance and teacher presentations about the subjects and courses we teach.

The deadline for submitting the completed option choice form is Friday 18th March.
