Rokell Tutor Challenge

This week’s tutor challenge was a very tasteful one; all tutor groups had been put to the test to see the most creative cakes they could come up with. This challenge was judged by the house captains who were thoroughly impressed with the imaginative cakes made. Here is where each tutor placed:

⦁ In last place was Mrs Prior’s (HJP) tutor who unfortunately did not submit a cake and therefore did not score any points
⦁ In 9th place was Miss Chivers’ (SMC) tutor who made a Spotty cake. 2 points
⦁ In 8th place was Miss Harris’ (STH) tutor who made a Unicorn cake. 3 points
⦁ In 7th place was Mr Turnball’s (NET) tutor who made a Marble cake. 4 points
⦁ In 6th place was Miss McCarthy’s (PMC) tutor who made a Beach cake. 5 points
⦁ In 5th place was Mr Knight’s (JAK) tutor who made a Rainbow cake. 6 points
⦁ In 4th place was Mr Moore’s (NEM) tutor who made a Doll cake. 7 points
⦁ In 3rd place was Miss Duffy’s (CAD) tutor who made a Sweets cake. 8 points
⦁ In 2nd place was Mr Greenwood’s (LEG) tutor who made a Bunny cake. 9 points
⦁ In 1st place was Mrs Jarman’s (NLJ) tutor who made a Skittles cake. 10 points

Congratulations to everyone who made delicious and unique cakes. It was a difficult decision to make when ranking the cakes as they were all very good. This is the third inter tutor challenge this term, it is not too late to climb back to the top of the leader board.

“I’m very pleased to announce the new House & Sports Captains for Rokell House for next year – Congratulations to all students! This year there was a very high number of applications from each year group, making the decisions hard. However I am thrilled that there was such a high level of competition for the roles, as it shows just how willing, enthusiastic and committed you all – Well done Rokell!”

Rokell Tutor Challenge: Paper Origami

This week’s inter-tutor challenge was all about showing off your tutees’ artistic skills in an origami challenge. This meant that students had to make some sort of object or animal using only folded paper and the best design would win. This required much skill and patience and showed us the variety of skills each tutor group has. This challenge was judged by how technical and intricate each origami piece was.
