Meeting such a wide range of people and passing all my GCSE’s. Also, getting various awards including Charles Babbage Cup for IT and an award for most progress in Drama (I broke out of my shell!)
Post 16 education/training:
I attended Palmers College before leaving to go into work and take part in various Acting workshops.
In 2017, at the age of 24, I started studying HNC Acting at Manchester College and achieve my certification. At the current moment, I will be studying a Foundation Course at University Campus Oldham (UCLAN Off-Site Campus) in Theatre and Performance.
Career pathways and/or turning points:
I have moved from Essex to Manchester and since moving, I have started working in numerous places and have still pursued my dream of Acting. I fell into Modelling and have had some images published on Tyra Banks Beauty Instagram (What?!). I am also training to be a qualified Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer.
My proudest achievement:
Learning to believe in myself and pursue my dream, despite what life has thrown at me. (Cue the cheesy violin music!)
Life and lifestyle events, hobbies & interests:
Starting over in Manchester – it was a very difficult move under difficult circumstances, but I’ve bounced back stronger than ever. Learning you can do whatever you want to do (apart from crime – don’t commit crimes, obviously)
My advice to the present pupils of William Edwards:
Easier said than done – but enjoy every moment! Laugh with your friends, try and do well in your work and make great memories – they stay with you forever.
Don’t be afraid to speak up. Whether you got an opinion that you want to share in class or if you are having any personal problems (bullying, mental health) – believe me, someone will listen to you and help you. Also; if you’ve got a dream, ambition or goal – chase it! Nothing can hold you back and you’ll surprise yourself with how far you can go.
My next goal:
Sign up with an Acting Agent and try and balance Acting with being a personal trainer. Continue to live in the moment and take every opportunity possible.
