The William Edwards Parents’ Association re-formed in 2011, under the title, William Edwards Champions (WEC). Our aim is to support the parents and carers of students at William Edwards school by providing contact with other parents/carers at informal monthly meetings; and to support and raise the profile of William Edwards school and students by raising funds for school and community projects.
We believe that the more we support our children throughout all stages of their education, the more we will see them shine.
All William Edwards parents and carers are very welcome to join WEC and attend our meeting. Please don’t feel awkward about coming along. We will make you very welcome.

Representatives have continued to provide support and refreshments at all Parents’ and Open Evenings throughout this academic year.
On top of this, there has been a selection of events throughout the months culminating with a very successful Wild West Night in June. Not only was this a really enjoyable evening for school members and the wider community, this one event raised nearly £800. Together with other fundraising activities this has meant that a cheque for £2000 has been presented on their behalf to Mr Munday.
These funds, in agreement with the school, will be used to purchase a defibrillator to be installed on site. The acquisition of the defibrillator will be dedicated to the memory of Mr Simon Jones, the husband of one of WEC’s members and father to one of our students, who died very suddenly last summer of a heart attack.
